ovs_logo.pngOhio Valley Sports, Inc (OVS) will host its third annual Super-Regional High School Baseball Showcase in July 2009. This event provides a single location with multiple venues, where premier HS players showcase their talents in front of college coaches. OVS also conducts a College Coaches Advisory Panel and a College Prep/Recruiting Seminar, to provide useful information and insight to parents and players about preparing for school and collegiate athletics.

Players eligible to participate in the "Super-60" (S-60) Showcase will span four HS class years. Athletes must be entering their Soph (2012 grads), Junior (2011 grads) or Senior (2010 grads) year in Fall 2009. Seniors who have recently graduated (College Freshman in Fall '09), but not committed to play at the college level, may also participate. Event participation is limited to a maximum of 60 athletes!

Showcase Dates

Tue/Wed, 14/15 July 2009

The S-60 will provide multiple opportunities for each player to demonstrate their defensive and offensive skills:

• Each player will be evaluated in either their primary or secondary defensive position, as part of a drills-style practice

• Pitchers will be evaluated both in the bullpen and on the field under game conditions

• Additionally, all players will participate in a 3-to-4 -inning "game conditions" scrimmage to allow for further evaluation
