It was the final Area Code Baseball event of 2009, which was the fourth Area Code Baseball Camp of the year.  The Area Code Baseball Camp is a one day instructional camp open to any high school age player.

The camp, held at Delta Community College (Stockton, Calif.), hosted 70 players from California, Texas, Oregon and Washington.

The day started with players running the 60-yard dash and the top time of the day was posted by outfielder DeVante Marsh (Oakland Tech, Calif.).  He ran a 7.17.  The second fastest time was posted by Mark Wangeman out of Justin Siena (Napa, Calif.) with a 7.27.

Dan Freeman (De La Salle, Concord, Calif.) was one of two catchers on the day who posted an average pop time of 2.03.  The other catcher to post a 2.03 was Scott Mitchell (Dublin HS, Calif.).

Keep checking back later in the week for the 60-times, pop times and velos.
