After a disagreement in baseball etiquette leading to a message pitch, both teams eventual left the field with similar positive feelings about a split.
Mattoon can be glad about atoning for rather humbling losses last year with the 6-3 win over Springfield Sacred Heart-Griffin in Saturday’s first game of the non-conference doubleheader.
