Posted by Andrew Drennen, ESPNRISE.com Baseball According to a report on sbsun.com, Redlands East Valley (Redlands, Calif.) Tyler Shreve only has one offer to play football, and that is to Colorado State. You see, Shreve is not only a quarterback, but is a pitcher on the REV baseball team. On the diamond he is a physically dominating player at the high school level, with a 90mph fastball. Oddly enough, he is somewhat under the radar on a national scale, primarily because of his football talents. With that said, he participated in the two biggest amateur events in the country, the Area Code Baseball Games and the AFLAC All American Game. Both of these events are prestigious and unique of their kind and are by invitation only. It is anticipated that many, if not all, of the Major League teams are planning to see Shreve pitch this spring. On the gridiron Shreve had a great sophomore year. Threw for a reported 1,299 and 20 TDs and was named 2007 Press-Enterprise 2nd Team All-San Bernardino. In his junior year he had an injured ankle and shoulder and his passing yardage improved to 1,502, but he only threw for 12 TDs. It will be interesting to see where he ends up and in which sport.
