Dace Kime is a 6-4, 210 pound senior out of Defiance (Ohio) High School.  The righty played for the New York Yankees in the 2009 Area Code Baseball Games.  He is one of ESPNRISE.com Baseball's student bloggers for the 2010 season.  You can follow him here in Kime's Korner.

After we lost in the district finals to a league foe, I felt a lot of responsibility to get our program back to where it was.

I worked out every other day at 7 or 8 in the morning tobuild arm strength and to perfect my mechanics. I had plans to go to some ofthe premier showcases (East Coast Pro Showcase and Area Code Games). I wantedto prove that I belonged in the same class as some of the elite players in thecountry.

Unfortunately, my preparation habits got me into sometrouble. I was so caught up in throwing hard that I failed to warm up my armbefore my outings. This resulted in me having some shoulder tightness.
